Godfrey Gao's Chinese fans determined to get him his last TV award
5 Dec– Fans of the late actor Godfrey Gao are currently working hard to ensure that the actor will win at the upcoming Weibo TV Series Awards.
As reported on Mingpao, thousands of the actor's mainland fans are determined to vote for Godfrey to win the Outstanding Drama Star at the said awards posthumously and making it his first and last TV award.
It was also revealed that fans of other shortlisted contenders like Wang Yibo, Li Xian, and Xiao Zhan are also now rallying behind Godfrey's fans and decided to give up voting for their idols in order to enable the late actor to win the said award.
As of 1 pm of 4 December, Godfrey had already won over six million votes and won the top spot in the male category.
It is noted that 20 minutes before the tragedy that befallen the actor, Godfrey posted his thanks on Weibo for being shortlisted in the said awards, and expressed hope to present more interesting roles to his fans.
