Glaiza de Castro happy for reruns of her old dramas

22 May – While production of television shows have been stalled due to the quarantine and threats of COVID-19, Glaiza is still pleased that two of her past dramas are currently airing on GMA.

As reported on GMA News, the actress', whose 2009 South Korean remake of "Stairway to Heaven" and the 2016 reboot of fantasy series, "Encantadia" have recently been airing on the network, expressed, "I am really proud to have been a part of these shows, or something that has been successful."

However, the actress still finds it funny that she actually played the antagonist in both of the shows - as Sanggre Pirena in "Encantadia" and Eunice in "Stairway to Heaven".

"It's funny because people are upset with me for Pirena and Eunice at the same time. What am I to do?" she said in jest.

Despite her antagonistic roles, the actress stated that she hopes the two series will entertain the audience now that the country is in crisis, especially "Encantadia" - which is a story about inspiration and hope.

"In today's world where we of course need positivity, "Encantadia" seems to give hope that, 'Okay, everything will be normal someday. Even if we have many wars, even though we have many enemies, many "Pashneya", good will still succeed," she said.
