Gillian Chung reduces work to spend more time on marriage

12 Nov – Gillian Chung recently admitted that the reason why she has reduced her acting work was so that she could spend more time with her husband, Taiwanese doctor Michael Lai.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who sat for an interview recently, stated that Michael never made any demands when it comes to her duty as a wife, and that it was her own willingness to focus more on her marriage.

"I hope that my husband can see that I am willing to sacrifice for this marriage and prove my love for him," she said.

However, Gillian humbly admitted that she is not a competent wife, as she does not know how to cook or do housework.

"My husband is very strict about cleanliness, and he likes to wash dishes and cleans, so he is responsible for that," she said.

As for baby plans, the actress said that she previously froze three of her eggs and would like to use it in the near future.

"It's just that there is still no time to do so. But I will not think too much about it. Hopefully we will be able to get pregnant next year," she enthused.

However, the actress assured that she is not going to retire from showbiz even if she has children in the future.

"I believe that the modern women should have their own career," she added.
