Gillian Chung no longer affected by photo scandal

13 Dec – Hong Kong singer Gillian Chung recently opened up about the photo scandal involving her and former boyfriend Edison Cheng, saying that she no longer cared about it.

As reported on Tencent, the singer, who spoke about the incident that happened nearly ten years ago on a mainland talk show recently, stated that she is unfazed about it no matter how many times people would bring it up, since it's already in the past.

"What else should I say? I will not mind it. I have to live my own life, I still have to go my own way, I have to be thankful that I still have the support of my fans," she said.

Back in 2008, Gillian took a one-year break following the leak of sexually explicit photos that Edison took with various female celebrities, including her. She later apologised to her fans and loved ones for hurting them, saying that she was naive and silly for having taken the photos.

Gillian also said that she is grateful to her music partner, Charlene Choi, who supported her through the tough times.

"I was touched that she halted work [because of me]. It was a very risky move. I am very grateful and happy to have her as a friend," she said.
