Gillian Chung denies tying the knot on 25 May

25 Apr – Singer-actress Gillian Chung has denied reports that she is set to tie the knot with her Taiwanese fiancé Michael Lai on 25 May.

The singer, who appeared at an event alongside manager Mani Fok recently, shared that she never said that she is getting married in May or that it will be held in Los Angeles, reports Mingpao.

"I am not having the wedding on that date. It's just for the bachelorette party that a friend is organising for me," she said.

She also declined to confirm whether the wedding will be held after her U.S. tour.

As to whether she will be holding the wedding in Hong Kong, Gillian said that she would have a banquet in the city, but that she and Michael have yet to decide if they will register their marriage in Hong Kong or Taiwan.

"But if there are no unforeseen circumstances, we will register our marriage this year," she said, adding that she has yet to find the perfect venue for the ceremony.

When asked about her choice of bridesmaids, Gillian laughed and replied, "There's the dragon, the tiger, and the snake; that is Joey Yung, Charlene Choi, and Yumiko Cheng. I have yet to decide on others."
