Gillian Chung cried on the set of new drama?

19 Oct - Gillian Chung's camp has recently clarified rumours that she cried on the set of her new drama.

As reported on Mingpao, previously, it was reported that Gillian, who is starring in the new Taiwanese idol drama, caused a lot of bad takes with her failure to remember her lines that even good friend and co-star Mike He couldn't help but get annoyed with her.

It was also reported that Gillian felt humiliated by the situation and cried due to guilt.

When asked about it recently, Gillian's manager Mani Fok explained that the drama has originally been scheduled to go on production for three months, while Gillian also had taken several overseas shows.

"She did her concert, and then flew back to Taiwan to continue the shoot. Basically, she hasn't slept for nearly 24 hours. She was very tired," said Mani.

Mani continued that even though she only had to film a simple scene, Gillian was mentally too tired that she couldn't even do it right. However, she admitted that they have already apologised to the cast and crew for the issue.

The drama director Chu Yu-ning also confirmed that Gillian did cry and expressed her sorry for what happened.

"She sent me a message to say she is sorry, that she couldn't do her best because she was so tired. I comforted her. She got some rest and the shoot went on very well," he added.
