Gil Cuerva is ready for any feedback on his performance
23 May - Newcomer Gil Cuerva understands really well that there is a possibility that his acting debut through "My Love From the Star" will be questioned by viewers, especially fans of the original Korean drama.
However, the model-turned-actor said that he is ready for the feedback, be it positive or negative.
Speaking to the media at the grand press launch of the aforementioned drama, Cuerva, who have heard rumours that the fans had wanted Alden Richards to play Matteo (originally played by Kim Soo-hyun), shared that he wouldn't mind the comparison between them.
"The drama is sacred to the fans. They have someone in mind for who they think should play Matteo. When it didn't happen, they were disappointed," said Cuerva.
However, the actor said that fans will be fans, and that while he knows he can't please everybody, he also hopes not to disappoint with his performance.
"I am just happy to be here. I'm just focused on the work," he added.
"My Love From the Star" will begin airing on 29 May.
