Gigi Leung signs with Universal Music
8 Jun – After ten years of working freelance, Gigi Leung is now signed with Universal Music.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer recently appeared at the press conference held by the record label, and revealed that she has signed to be a part of the company for three years.
"After ten years of working individually, I'm already tired of doing it. I hope that this way, I can allocate time a little better for work and family," she said.
She also admitted that it was "quite annoying" managing all promotional and behind-the-scene work on her own.
At the same event, Gigi launched her new song, "Goodbye, Cinderella", and said that she hopes to make more positive songs in the future.
"In the past, I would sing a lot of tragic songs. I don't want to shed tears anymore. I want to make songs that are warm and hopeful," she said.
