Gigi Leung manages to come home before Spain close borders

19 Mar – Gigi Leung was fortunate to be able to return to Hong Kong with her whole family just short of Spain closing its borders.

As reported on Epoch Times, the singer who stayed in her husband Sergio's hometown in Spain for weeks following the Lunar New Year, arrived in Hong Kong just in time as Spain announced that it is shutting all of its land borders to halt the spread of the coronavirus - although the reason for her return had nothing to do with the border shutdown.

According to her manager, Gigi, husband Sergio and daughter Sophia were back in Hong Kong as the singer has work obligations, and didn't expect that the Spanish government would announce the closure two days later.

Said Gigi, "We went to stay in Sergio's hometown and was not in Madrid. When we returned, the situation was not that serious yet."

The singer stated that after seeing the spike of cases in Spain, she is worried about Sergio's family.

"We keep reminding them to wear masks and wash their hands, and to make sure to clean the house as often as they can," she added.
