One.85 Big Prawn Mee might not be the newest on the Bedok block, but the word’s been spreading lately. Since opening in 2024, they have grown an impressive fan following for their huge portions, available until late at night.

Open in Bedok 85 Fengshan Food Centre till midnight daily, they label themselves as “Next Generation Hawkers Upholding Traditional Homemade Recipe”.

The trio of founders are couple Roger and Erina, and their friend Monica, who opened the stall due to their love for traditional prawn mee. Inspired by the rich flavours, they have vowed to uphold the dish’s heritage by offering authentic, high-quality prawn mee made from scratch

Everything is done with intention, down to sourcing the ingredients. Monica visits the wet market daily to select the best prawns and cooks all the dish’s components – even the garnish and shallot oil – herself. All the work the trio puts in is proof of their dedication to the craft and genuine love for the dish.

The first thing you’d notice is, of course, their big prawns. Their Prawn Mee (S$6.50/S$10) contains kangkong, beansprouts, pork lard and fried shallots. Choose between bee hoon or yellow noodles with rich broth, cooked with prawn heads.

Not only does the stall sell prawn mee, but they also sell Pork Ribs Mee (S$6.50/S$10). Other than that, there’s another option to add Pork Ribs (S$1.50) or Pork Skin (S$1) alongside your main.

Their signature is the Jumbo Big Prawn Mee (S$13.50/S$20). However, if you want to go all out, order the Colossal Big Prawn Mee (S$28/S$36) and share it within a group. Just look at that serving!
