Giada RTW Spring 2024
Gabriele Colangelo was in a celebratory mood, marking the 10-year anniversary of the via Montenapoleone flagship store with a sharp, elegant collection that included handmade, gold-dipped jewelry.
“We asked ourselves the question, ‘What is Giada for us?’ and the answer was precision and sensuality, and an artisanal touch,” said the designer.

This was one of his strongest collections to date — clear and focused, and with artistic flair. There were hand-painted flowers on rounded, sculptural skirts; yellow organza rosettes resembling papier mâché on dresses and tops; and gold-edged ceramic buttons in the shape of abstract flowers and petals on dresses.
A long and lean napa leather coatdress had a delicate, airbrushed stripe down the side, while other leather pieces had slash details here and there, resembling the paintings of Lucio Fontana.
Colangelo also played with sheer fabrics, pairing a gossamer black skirt with a gray, flower-painted tailored jacket; layering a whisper-thin white fabric over a strapless black minidress; or adding transparent sleeves to a structured, belted military style jacket.
The ceramic and gold pieces were used as buttons, but also as jewelry, with the designer turning them into delicate necklaces or embellishments for rounded, sculptural suits.
