Taylour Paige has been quietly but quickly climbing up the ladders of Hollywood, starring in major projects like "Zola," "We Cry Together" with Kendrick Lamar and, most recently, "The Toxic Avenger" alongside a stacked cast — including Elijah Wood, Peter Dinklage and Kevin Bacon.

Though her red carpet looks over her 15-year-long career have consistently proven her knack for chic style, this season only marked Paige's second fashion week. During the Fall 2023 schedule, the 32-year-old actor and dancer attended the Prada and Acne Studios shows, kickstarting a very impressive roster of brand partnerships. Fast-forward to this month's Spring 2024 season, and Paige sat front row for the Rabanne show during Paris Fashion Week.

Below, the California-born star walks us through her getting-ready process, beauty must-haves and makeup memories as she prepared for the event with Rabanne Beauty.

How did you choose your outfit for the Rabanne show?

Rabanne had pulled two stunning options from which to choose. One was a piece of art that weighed nearly 100 pounds, which I would have seriously considered if I wasn't on my period and seriously jet-lagged. The stunning option I chose to wear was beautifully simple and classic.

What drew you to the Rabanne brand?

The brand is timeless and iconic. It's forever. It feels nostalgic and appreciative and whimsical. Paco Rabanne expanded the landscape of what is possible to wear. Any expander in this life that goes, "Why not?" I revere.

What inspired the makeup look for today?

I decided I was channeling how Tony Montana's [from
"Scarface"] wife would answer the door directly after a good blowout. My makeup artist Raisa Flowers thought we'd let the beautiful shadow do the talking — with a clean undereye for intensity.

You've worked as both a dancer and an actor for some time. How has each space impacted your approach to makeup? Any tips you learned from set?

Sometimes I'm an extension of the story and I'm keen on being particular and detailed. Sometimes I'm hiding and sometimes I'm performing. I've learned that makeup is about decorating the beauty you have — highlighting and appreciating who you are.

Which do you prefer: bold looks or natural glam?

I prefer natural glam, but for some reason, a lot of artists push bold on me.

Do you have any beauty icons?

My beauty icons are Bianca Jagger, Maya Angelou, Aishwsriya Rai, Josephine Baker, Diahann Carroll, Lucille Ball, Juliette Binoche, Meryl Streep, Cicely Tyson, Phyllis Hyman, Richie Shazam and Hari Nef. They're all beautiful people who live out loud and don't take themselves too seriously.

What does your usual skin prep routine look like?

Lots of water, ice cubes, putting my feet up, hanging upside down and moisturizer. Beauty is inside out, so I make sure I'm taking care of myself.

How do your skin-care and makeup routines differ from every day to a public appearance like this?

I am definitely more glam for public appearances than I am in my everyday life. Most days, I like to celebrate my skin and just live in mascara to accentuate my eyes.

Is there any particular product you want to take home with you from this look?

My must-haves are the Rabanne eye shadows!

How would you describe your overall beauty approach and personal aesthetic when it comes to hair and makeup?

Natural, fun and classic. Dimensional, curious, soft and fun.

Do you remember your first-ever makeup experience?

My mom was really strict about me wearing makeup, so I would sneak her eyeliner and wear it whenever I could get away with it.

If you only have five minutes to get ready, what makeup are you prioritizing?

Mascara, for sure. It's the one product that's always in my bag.
