Gear up for Singapore’s first-ever Hungarian Month – food, drinks, fair, concerts & more
To mark 54 years of diplomatic ties between Hungary and Singapore, the Hungarian Embassy is launching the first-ever Hungarian Month! True to its theme, “The Spice of Europe in Singapore,” this month-long celebration will be bursting with exciting events that bring Hungary’s rich traditions to life.
Get ready to indulge in Hungarian cuisine all month long. Visit Serangoon Gardens Country Club or any Café Melba outlet for a taste of Hungarian favourites like smoky goulash, specially curated for you.
Beer lovers, don’t miss the beer brewing workshop on Oct 5, hosted by iBrew and Hungarian beer enthusiasts. If gin’s more your style, savour the unique flavours of Tokaj Gin at an exclusive Cocktail Evening at Bar at 15 Stamford (Oct 24) or The Exchange (Oct 25). Cheers — or as the Hungarians say, egészségedre!
Another great news for foodies — from Oct 21–27, Kempinski Hungarian Gourmet Week offers not only more delicious Hungarian dishes but also the chance to indulge in their smooth wines.
If you fall in love with the cuisine and want to recreate it at home, join the cooking class at SHATEC Orchard on Oct 29. You’ll learn new culinary skills you can show off to your friends!
But the excitement really begins on Oct 26 with a full-day Hungary Fair from 10am to 5pm, featuring Hungarian food, music, arts, and crafts. And, of course, no festival is complete without some dancing! Enjoy a dynamic performance by the Kéve Folk Dance Ensemble, showcasing the beauty of Hungarian dance traditions.
More fun events are in store, including a Virtuosos concert, and an official Rubik’s Cube competition, amongst others! Keep in mind that some activities require registration, so be sure to sign up in advance. For full event info, click here.
From delicious food and cultural showcases to shopping and entertainment, Hungarian Month: The Spice of Europe has something for everyone. Can’t wait to see you there!
