Gazini Ganados shares update a week after Miss Universe journey

18 Dec – More than a week after competing in the 2019 Miss Universe pageant, Gazini Ganados recently broke her silence on social media to express her thoughts about her journey for the past year.

On 17 December, the beauty queen shared a photo from her time at the said pageant, and wrote, "What a wonderful thought it is that some of the best days of our lives haven't even happened yet."

"After a week of social media hiatus to give myself some time to rest, I'm definitely back! And I have been wanting to say this: DAGHANG SALAMAT! Maraming Salamat Pilipinas! I couldn't be more proud as our country's name was called while seeing our [comrades] raise our flag in Atlanta. Our journey to Miss Universe might have come to its conclusion, but our fight for our causes will forever live on," she continued.

She also congratulated South African beauty, Zozibini Tunzi for becoming the new Miss Universe.

"Proud to have shared the same stage with you and I can't wait to follow your fruitful reign!" she added.

Ganados ended her Miss Universe 2019 journey finishing in the top 20, after failing to move on to the Top 10 at the competition held in Atlanta, Georgia earlier this month. The beauty queen has yet to return to the Philippines, having chosen to spend time with relatives in the United States instead.
