Gal Gadot teams up with Dwayne Johnson for "Red Notice"

Gal Gadot will be stepping into the art world again in "Red Notice".

12 Jun – Gal Gadot has received a "Red Notice" – to join Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in the action comedy movie!

Gadot has closed a deal to star opposite The Rock, according to Deadline, though the search is still on for another actor to join the Gadot-Johnson team-up, as the movie is designed to be a three-hander between the two confirmed leads and another male lead.

The heist thriller will see the "Wonder Woman" star playing a mysterious and brilliant person in the art world.

Meanwhile, The Rock will play an Interpol agent trying to catch the most wanted thief in the world, ComingSoon.net revealed.

"Red Notice", to be directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber from his own script, reunites the duo after they previously worked together in three movies in the "Fast and Furious" franchise ("Fast Five", "Fast & Furious 6" and "Furious 7").

The title of the movie refers to the most serious of the eight notices issued by Interpol, which concerns the arrest of wanted criminals.

We'll see The Rock soon in "Skyscraper", also directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber.

While this will be Gadot's first time working with Thurber, co-star The Rock has already worked with the director in two other projects, "Central Intelligence" and "Skyscraper", the latter which will open in cinemas next month.

Gadot is currently busy filming "Wonder Woman 2" with director Patty Jenkins as the DCEU entry is slated for release next year.

"Red Notice", which will begin production in 2019, has a North American release date set for 12 June 2020.
