Gaile Lok is happy for ex-husband Leon Lai
31 Mar – Hong Kong-based model-actress Gaile Lok has laughed off speculations that she knew about her ex-husband's baby rumours even before it made the news, since she was one of the first few celebrities who congratulated the singer before he even made the announcement to confirm it.
As reported on Mingpao, Gaile, who appeared at a brand event recently, stated that she only extended her well wishes after being contacted by the media.
"At the time, I was busy cooking and putting it up online. I thought they were calling me because I was a good cook. It turns out, they were calling to ask about Leon," she said.
When asked if she had contacted Leon directly to congratulate him, she said she would rather not disturb the singer.
"I am happy for him, to think that everyone has the opportunity to find someone to be with. I agree with Leon's post about "[the union] between two people who have experienced divorce". It is fate when you find someone to be with you," she added.
Gaile stated that she experienced a similar thing to Leon when she met her husband Ian Chu.
"It's really a happy thing to fall in love again," she added.
