G-Dragon goes viral for reunion at Taeyang's concert
3 Sep - G-Dragon recently went viral on social media after he decided to perform on stage at Taeyang's solo concert, "The Light Year".
Clips of the performance circulated online, where Taeyang, who had BIG BANG member Daesung perform yet again on the second day of the concert, suddenly surprised fans by inviting GD on stage.
As fans screamed with delight, the rapper, who was sitting in the audience, began to join Taeyang and Daesung while they were performing "We Like 2 Party". Taeyang and GD then sang their song, "Good Boy" together while the audience cheered enthusiastically.
Many fans also took to social media to express their excitement, with some expressing hope that GD's willingness to perform means that there will be a new song to come out soon.
It is noted that it has been years since GD performed on stage. The rapper, who was discharged from the military in 2019, ended his contract with his agency YG Entertainment in December 2022 and subsequently signed with Galaxy Corporation.
While he did announce a comeback album in 2023, he hasn't released any new single and instead became a visiting professor at the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in June this year.
