French fashion house Balmain to open first standalone outlet in Singapore at Marina Bay Sands
Fans of French fashion house Balmain can soon shop for collections by designer and creative director Olivier Rousteing in Singapore, as the brand will be opening its first standalone store at Marina Bay Sands in the coming months.
In a press release on Tuesday (11 July), MBS announced that the outlet will be located at The Shoppes and will measure 1,647 sq ft (about 153 sq m). It will also feature “an interior concept reminiscent of its traditional Parisian boutiques”.
“The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands is always committed to reinvigorating its offerings to give shoppers compelling reasons to revisit. We are heartened by the ongoing robust demand from both international and homegrown labels to establish their footprint within The Shoppes. This is a strong testament in validating our position as Asia’s leading shopping destination,” said John Postle, Vice President of Retail, Marina Bay Sands.
Helmed by the 31-year-old designer since 2011, the brand is not the only newcomer slated to open at the popular upscale mall.
Other brands include Singapore’s very own fashion brand In Good Company, homegrown luxury leather goods brand Kwanpen, Hong Kong fashion and accessories label eq:iq, luxury diamond jeweller Nirav Modi, perfume house Henry Jacques and French tea room and patisserie Angelina.
Other newcomers that have already opened at MBS include Estee Lauder’s newest standalone boutique as well as eateries The Bird Southern Table & Bar and Dallas Cafe and Bar.
