Frankie Pangilinan takes a break from social media
3 Jul – Frankie Pangilinan recently announced that she is taking a break from social media for an indefinite period of time.
As reported on Push, the daughter of Sharon Cuneta and Senator Kiko Pangilinan tweeted her decision recently, saying that she initially wanted to do it silently, but figured that she should just tell everybody in case her silence was considered odd.
"I'll be keeping my distance from social media as much as possible while still occasionally helping spread awareness for things that matter. Hope you understand and [I love you so much]," she wrote.
Pangilinan's decision came two days after her actress mother broke down in tears during an Instagram livestream as she expressed her frustrations over the attacks against her family in recent weeks and the rape threat against her daughter for speaking up against rape culture.
Cuneta also expressed her anger over some netizens comparing said daughter's looks with KC Concepcion, her other daughter with Gabby Concepcion.
"Physical beauty fades. She's really beautiful, but they shouldn't do that to sisters, they shouldn't do that to children, they shouldn't do that to women. I am your mother. I am KC's mum, I'm your mum, I'm Yellie's mum. How dare they. I love you all equally," she said.
