Four detained following HK model Abby Choi's murder

28 Feb – Four people, including the ex-husband of Abby Choi have been arrested following the violent murder of the Hong Kong model and influencer.

The said ex, 28-year-old Alex Kwong was detained at the ferry terminal in Tung Chung, Lantau, with police reporting that the man might have intended to flee via water transport.

HKD 500,000 and several luxury watches amounting to HKD 4 million were also seized.

Arrested along Kwong were his brother and his parents, who are held for questioning.

Abby was reported missing on 22 February before the authorities found parts of her dismembered body along with a meat slicer and clothing in a rental unit in Lung Mei Village. Her head, torso, and hands remain missing.

Investigation will continue, said police, with the cause of death yet to be determined.

The model, whose Instagram account was filled with fashion photos, had her last photo posted on 15 February, a digital cover of L'Officiel Monaco, which she captioned, "From Hong Kong to the cover of L'Officiel Monaco, my journey as a style icon continues. Grateful for this recognition and the continued support along the way."
