Former Miss Universe Alicia Machado Becomes U.S. Citizen to Vote Against Donald Trump
Former Miss Universe Alicia Machado has just gotten her American citizenship, and is looking forward to voting against Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election.
The 39-year-old Venezuelan-born TV personality and beauty queen, who has said that Trump mocked her about her accent and her weight when she was a teenage pageant contestant, took the oath of allegiance in Miami, Florida on Friday.
Machado shared a patriotic pic of the special moment, showing her in the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services office waving a small American flag, which she captioned, "I so proud and inspiration to be a U.S. Citizen! I'll be Voting! All my power and my support become with my next President @hillaryclinton."

"Miss Housekeeping and miss Piggy Can Vote @realdonaldtrump," Machado added. The beauty queen accused Trump of body shaming her and calling her "Miss Piggy" around the time she was crowned Miss Universe in 1996. She also claimed Trump called her "Miss Housecleaning," as a dig at her Venezuelan accent.
Machado told Inside Edition in May that Trump's alleged comments made her feel "very depressed," adding, "For sure he is not a good person."
Machado later shared an endorsement ad she appeared in supporting Hillary Clinton in the upcoming race to the White House.

Trump formerly co-owned the Miss Universe pageant with NBC until last year, when the network said it would no longer work with the business mogul due to his controversial anti-immigration comments.
Trump later bought out NBC's shares in the Miss Universe Organization, and sold all the stock to the WME/IMG talent agency.
