Former actress Leung Kit Wah passed away

28 May – Leung Kit Wah, former actress and wife of actor Felix Wong has recently passed away.

As reported on Mingpao, Leung, who had been battling leukaemia for seven years, was in the intensive care unit since last week and suffered from multiple organ failures prior to her passing.

Leung was first diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia in 2013 and had undergone several chemotherapy treatments before revealing that she was doing much better in 2015. However, in November 2018, after receiving a bone marrow transplant, it was reported that her condition recurred.

Speaking on behalf of Felix, his assistant Mr. Ho stated that the actor and his family had been prepared for the worse, and that he and daughter Adrian had been accompanying Leung since she was hospitalised.

When asked about Felix's current mood, Ho stated, "He is okay. Friends have been offering to help with Kit Wah's funeral, but he wants to do it himself."

Leung graduated from TVB's training academy in 1979, and had participated in several series including "The Restless Trio" and "The Bund II". She met Felix in 1980 and married the actor eight years later. The actress retired from showbiz in 1992, two years after the birth of daughter Adrian.

She was 59.
