This food centre in the East is temporarily closing down for a 13-week-long renovation

One of the popular food haunts in the East, I’m sure most Easties will be devastated to hear that Bedok Corner Food Centre will be temporarily shutting down operations to undergo an extensive 13-week-long renovation period from 2 Sep to 1 Dec 2024.

During this time, Bedok Food Centre will be renovated to improve its outlook as well as enhance its overall dining environment for patrons. Not much information was available on the type of renovation work taking place.

However, based on similar closures, the safe bet would be on the replacement of tables and seats, extensive re-tiling, and the renovation of toilets, among others.

A local favourite giving diners a variety of choices for every budget point, it will be disappointing for residents around the area to find their next dinner spot for the next 3 months.

Local favourites such as Bedok Corner Hokkien Fried Squid Prawn Mee, Persian Tandoor, and Green Sky Fried Kway Teow, have yet to share what their plans are during this extensive closure. It’s either to temporarily seize operations and take a short hiatus or to temporarily operate at a different location.

However, stalls such as Yang’s Epok–Epok have shared that while operations are down, customers can still enjoy their favourite epok-epok at 3 of their other outlets located across Singapore.

While it is rather short notice, make sure you say a temporary goodbye to Bedok Food Centre and snag up some of your favourites before they’re gone for the next 3 months!
