Florence Pugh Favors Florals in Sheer Red Valentino Dress at Golden Globes 2024
Florence Pugh made a red hot entrance at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles in a plunging, sheer Valentino gown featuring a draped bodice and floral appliques.
Pugh accessorized with a suite of Tiffany & Co. jewels, which included a Jean Schlumberger necklace, earrings and rings adorned with white and yellow diamonds. Stylist Rebecca Corbin-Murray curated the “Oppenheimer” star’s look. Corbin-Murray dresses several A-listers including Salma Hayek, Gemma Chan and Priyanka Chopra.

Hairdresser Adir Abergel added volume to Pugh’s platinum blond crop, while makeup artist Alex Babsky used Valentino Beauty products for the actress’ coral blush and matte nude lip. Celebrity manicurist Dawn Sterling added crystal embellishments to Pugh’s nails, which were lacquered with a sheer pink shade.
Pugh, who is friends with Valentino’s creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli, became a spokesmodel for Italian label in 2023. She’s since fronted campaigns for their handbags, clothing and beauty products. Pugh is also a brand ambassador for luxury jeweler Tiffany & Co.
Rouge hues dominated the runway during the fall 2023 season, with labels like Valentino, Carolina Herrera and Emilia Wickstead ushering in a red renaissance.
“Oppenheimer,” starring Pugh and Cillian Murphy, is up for eight Golden Globes including Best Motion Picture (Drama), Best Screenplay (Motion Picture) and Best Original Score (Motion Picture).
The 81st annual Golden Globe Awards, held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, celebrate the biggest achievements across film and television in 2023. It is produced by Dick Clark Productions, which is owned by WWD parent company Penske Media Corp. Ahead of the ceremony, WWD will host its first real-time red carpet digital show, co-hosted by Jeannie Mai, highlighting the looks from the red carpet arrivals.
