Flipper’s x Famous Amos limited edition pancake-cookie collab

Japanese fluffy pancake sensation, Flipper’s Singapore has a new limited-edition collaboration with everyone’s favourite cookie brand, Famous Amos till end Jun 2023.

Both halal-certified and bagging the prize for the coolest limited menus, this latest collab is a textural explosion. With everything from cookie-infused pancakes to cookie soft serves, it’s like I’m dreaming with my eyes wide open.

As a fan of both souffle pancakes and Famous Amos cookies, I couldn’t contain my glee when I spotted the advertisement for these on my IG FYP.

The pancakes of their Cookies Kiseki Pancakes (S$24.80) are laced with Famous Amos cookie crumbs and topped with a generous heap of their house-made cookie cream. Sporting an ingredient list composed only of premium Japanese ingredients like HACCP-certified Hinata eggs, their pancakes are of the highest quality.

As part of this collaboration, Flipper’s has released two different cookie milkshakes, the Cookies Milkshake and Strawberry Cookies Milkshake (S$14.80 or S$12.80 with any pancakes). Making for the most insta-worthy pics, their milkshakes are full of chewy cookie bits or tiny sprinkles and then topped with even more cookie chunks.

Flipper’s has also launched soft serve ice creams for the very first time in this collaboration. Their Cookies Soft Serve is going at S$8.80 (S$6.80 with any pancake) and comes with the cutest little cookie-filled pipette. Meant to be taken before consuming the soft serve, it’ll give anyone that much-needed sugar rush. So, why not take a shot of cookies rather than a shot of Hennessy?

Cooked without a mould, their pancakes are said to have a fluffier and more jiggly texture. So soft a knife would cause them to deflate, these pancakes are best eaten with 2 forks. With just enough strength to not collapse on itself, their Matcha Kiseki Pancake (S$19.80) topped with azuki paste looks to die for.

Living up to the name of their pancakes, “kiseki pancakes” (kiseki is Japanese for miracle), Flipper’s pancakes are quite the miracle. Just looking at the images makes me want to try them myself! Head down to either of the Flipper’s stores to try out this limited seasonal collaboration, or to simply give their fuwa fuwa pancakes a go.
