Flipper’s Singapore launches seasonal sandos series & brings back seasonal Awayuki strawberry kiseki pancakes
I’m always in favour of establishments serving both savoury and sweet treats. This allows me to have my meal and dessert all at a single location, without the hassle of travelling around. Halal-certified Flipper’s Singapore, known for its Japanese souffle pancake, proudly introduces its seasonal sandos series to its weekday lunch menu. Hurrah!
Launched on 1 Feb 2023, the sandos are made with lightly-toasted shokupan bread, which is a Japanese milk bread that is slightly sweet, buttery, and milky at the same time. Crispy truffle tater tots are served on the side— what a treat!
Flipper’s Singapore only uses premium Japanese Hinata eggs. These eggs are laid by healthy hens which are fed with a special calibrated feed.
The hens are kept in a well-maintained, HACCP-certified farm which is surrounded by the magnificent Tanzawa mountain range and the clean Sagami river in the Kanagawa prefecture.
Try the Otah Sando, fusing Japanese and Singaporean delights into a single sandwich. It features a breaded otah patty topped with creamy scrambled Hinata eggs, sambal mayo, and homemade red cabbage coleslaw— I just drooled while describing all of that!
The Tamago Sando is the ultimate eggs galore. This classic Japanese sandwich is jam-packed with a generous amount of rich creamy egg salad, and topped with a perfectly-cooked premium Hinata egg.
For meat lovers, the Crispy Chicken Katsu comes layered with a fried Hinata egg and homemade red cabbage coleslaw that’s tossed in teriyaki-mayo.
For those who missed the opportunity to savour the Awayuki Strawberry Kiseki Pancakes (S$26.80) last year, I’m glad to announce that they’ve returned!
Enjoy the juicy candy-like strawberries combined with homemade strawberry cream, strawberry sauce and Valrhona ruby chocolate. Of course, the dish is not complete without the fluffy souffle pancakes.
Head on down to any of the 2 Flipper’s Singapore outlets to enjoy these limited seasonal offerings today!
