Fish Leong thankful for Golden Melody Awards nomination
23 Jul – Following news of her nomination for the Golden Melody Awards, Fish Leong took to social media to express her thoughts about the making of her album, "The Sun Also Rises".
The Malaysian singer posted a photo of a box of tissues she kept in her recording studio, writing, "Every time a box of tissues was prepared in the recording studio, it meant that some sincere and touching lyrics were created. It is tears and stories that make every piece of art. It is the growth trajectory of each other over the years that makes a successful team."
"Thank you for the nominations. I will continue to be inside this recording studio. I will not leave easily," she added.
At the same time, Fish also thanked all the mentors and producers who taught her about music and to sing with her life.
It is noted that "The Sun Also Rises" was Fish's first album since she and husband of nearly ten years, Tony Chao ended their marriage. The singer confirmed news of their divorce in September last year, saying that they were already separated for a couple of months and will share custody of their son Anderson.
The upcoming Golden Melody Awards will be held in October.
