Fish Leong finally confirms divorce rumours
10 Sep – Malaysian singer Fish Leong recently confirmed that she and husband Tony Chao have called it quits on their marriage.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who was in Taipei to promote her new album, told the media that she and Tony have signed the divorce papers, though some of the procedures have yet to be completed.
She also revealed that the two of them had separated before August this year, but will share custody of son Anderson together.
"My mother will accompany me in the near future," she added.
However, Fish is tight-lipped when it comes to the reason for the divorce, and declined to comment on rumours that Tony had cheated on her with an internet celebrity.
Asked if she had been struggling for a long time before deciding on the divorce, Fish responded with a nod.
Rumours of the couple's divorce sparked last month, and was further fuelled by Fish's good friend Christine Fan confirming that the singer and her husband are only friends now.
