The First Trailer for ‘One-Punch Man’ Season 3 Has Been Revealed

One-Punch Man’s season three anime was first announced back in summer 2022. Until now, no further updates have been confirmed for the highly-anticipated anime. With the newly unveiled trailer, fans are given a glimpse into the new season’s story direction, supplemented with snippets of gripping action starring Garou the “Hero Hunter.”

Originally a viral webcomic created by One, One-Punch Man was picked up by Shueisha in 2012 for digital serialization. For this official manga remake, professional manga artist, Yusuke Murata was tasked with adapting One-Punch Man’s original story, imbuing life to its insane action sequence and iconic humor into a piece that befits the shonen genre.

In 2015, Madhouse produced One-Punch Man’s first TV anime adaptation and the series was incredibly well-received by fans. When the anime returned for its second installment in 2019, its animation was handled by J.C.Staff instead. Aside from the change in animation studio, fans were mostly disappointed in the considerably lower quality of the animation and slow pacing.

Per the announcement back in 2022, the new season will also be animated by J.C.Staff. However, just based on the official trailer alone, the studio appears to address some of the issues from the previous season. Almost two minutes long, the promotional video focuses on season three’s main antagonist, Garou, hinting at his inevitable fight with the show’s protagonist, Saitama.

An official premiere date is yet to be announced. In the meantime, watch the official trailer for One-Punch Man season three above.
