Fiona Sit holds recycling programme with fans
18 Jul – While most stars would party with their fans, Hong Kong singer Fiona Sit and her fans recently decided to support environmental protection by sorting trash on the street.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer who participated in the waste sorting activities near Lai Wan Market, shared that she is always interested in doing something for the environment, but found that there had been a lack of such recycling activity - which is why she decided to gather her fans up to do it with her.
When asked whether it was more enjoyable to her fans than watching her concert, she said that they were able to get closer this way.
"The interactivity is high. I will just hold a concert later," she said.
Fiona was also full of praises for her fans, saying that they have all worked hard to complete the task.
"We need a lot of manpower to do this every week. I will go and help again with my mum later on. Separating your trash and recycling can reduce waste. I hope that this event will inspire a lot more people to protect the environment and cherish our planet," she said.
