Final Star Trek Beyond Trailer Looks Amazing

Set phasers to fun – it’s the final ‘Star Trek Beyond’ trailer.

And it’s without a doubt the best one yet.

Appearing online, the new ‘Star Trek Beyond’ trailer gives us an action-packed glimpse at the U.S.S. Enterprise on its latest adventure. They’ve encountered time-travelling Romulans, an iconic villainous super-soldier and now it looks as though the stakes are higher than ever.

But will Captain Kirk think twice about boldly going where no-one has gone before?

Not likely.

“Do you really want to head back out there?” asks Bones.

“Can you imagine what we’ll find?” answers Kirk.

Of course, the grim-faced doctor is quick to point out what could go wrong when exploring never-before-visited regions of space. And it doesn’t sound good.

“Alien despots hell-bent on killing us? Deadly space-viruses, anomalies that could wipe us out in an instant…”

But obviously, that just makes Kirk even more enthusiastic.

“It’s gonna be so much fun.”

And fun is definitely the name of the game here. Previous trailers haven’t really sold the audience on how much fun a ‘Star Trek’ movie can be. But this final trailer pulls out all the stops. We’ve got explosions, hand-to-hand combat and futuristic space-soldiers that might even put the Borg to shame.

And then there’s the fresh glimpse of the Enterprise…

It’s enough to send shivers down your spine.

‘Star Trek Beyond’ stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, John Chu, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg and Anton Yelchin as the crew of the USS Enterprise. Idris Elba joins them as the film’s main villain, with other performances from Sofia Boutella, Joe Taslim and Lydia Wilson.

Justin Lin directed the movie, based on a script by Simon Pegg and Doug Jung.

‘Star Trek Beyond’ heads to cinemas on 22 July 2016.
