American jewellers who have bedazzled some of Hollywood’s A-listers are in Singapore for the inaugural JeweLuxe 2017 event. The jewellery showcase will take place from 6 to 15 October at the TENT@Ngee Ann City from 12pm to 8pm daily.
As part of the event, Paolo Costagli – whose jewellery has been worn by actresses Drew Barrymore and Rachel Bilson – will be curating an exhibition showcasing jewellery by some of Hollywood’s top jewellers such as Kimberly Mcdonald, Moritz Glik, David Webb and Sylva & Cie. Entitled “Icons of America”, the exhibition will run from 6 to 10 October.
Jewellery by Kimberly Mcdonald has been seen on R&B diva Beyonce as well as actresses Taraji P. Henson and Cameron Diaz.
Gilk was the winner of the 2011 Couture Awards for Best Diamond Piece and has had his earrings worn by former US first lady Michelle Obama. Jewellery by Sylva & Cie has been spotted on actress Jennifer Lawrence while those by David Webb has been worn by stars such as Elizabeth Taylor, Barbra Streisand and Helen Mirren.
“Singapore is a city of sophisticated shoppers who appreciate unique pieces, be it jewellery, timepieces, art or any lifestyle propositions,” said JeweLuxe founder Angela Loh.
“The city also attracts discerning shoppers from Asia and around the world who enjoy the variety of international and independent brands in Singapore, making the retail experience at JeweLuxe Singapore the ideal springboard for brands to access South-east Asia’s affluent segment.”
The first JeweLuxe event is supported by the Singapore Tourism Board’s Kickstart Fund. The exhibition hopes to achieve over $9 million in sales, according to a press release. Loh is also behind a separate jewellery exhibition called Jewelfest.
From 11 to 15 October, visitors can look out for jewellery exhibits from Europe and Asia, with participating brands such as Italy’s Federica Rettore, Federico Buccellati and Zannetti. Participating brands from Asia include Singapore’s Caratell, Simone Jewels and China’s Shirley Zhang.
