Fendi and Chupa Chups Introduce Quirky Lollipop Holder Bags on the Runway at Milan Fashion Week for Fall 2024
Guests at Fendi’s fall 2024 show were introduced to an unexpected fashion accessory on Wednesday in Milan. The brand, led by creative director Kim Jones, debuted its collaboration with confectionery company Chupa Chups: a lollipop holder.
Constructed out of Selleria leather, which is known for its quality and craftsmanship, often hand-stitched with intricate detailing, the lollipop case can be worn as a bag or a necklace, as seen on Fendi’s runway. The accessory was introduced in vibrant red, gray, army green, black, yellow and light blue colorways.

Fendi’s fall 2024 collection was inspired by the house’s archives from 1984. “Kim Jones etched the period lightly, snatching some of its fashion signifiers — workwear, Blitz kids, Japanese style — that Karl Lagerfeld had also absorbed and expressed when he was leading the Roman house,” WWD reported.
Fendi has a history of finding inspiration in food for its creations. In 1997, the brand created its now-classic Baguette bag, inspired by the way baguettes can be carried under the arm. The style saw a resurgence in interest last year after an appearance in Max’s “And Just Like That.”
Chupa Chups has stepped into the fashion arena before. The lollipop brand has collaborated with H&M, Fila and South Korean brand Tibaeg.
The Fendi x Chupa Chups lollipop holder joins the list of quirky accessories created by luxury designers, which includes JW Anderson’s Pigeon Clutch and Virgil Abloh’s Louis Vuitton Paint Can bag from fall 2022, Thom Browne’s Animal Icons collection of bags from fall 2020, Anya Hindmarch’s Crisp packet clutch from fall 2014 and more.
On Wednesday, Jacquemus released its own viral bag in partnership with Nike. The accessory is shaped after the footwear brand’s Swoosh logo and is available for $525 on the French label’s website.
