Faye Wong's manager denies concert rumours

25 Jul - Faye Wong's camp has recently dismissed rumours that the singer will be holding a concert this year.

As reported on Mingpao, on 23 July, her manager Katie Chan issued a statement to clarify the rumours, which sparked after the singer was seen having dinner at the home of good friend and director Chiu Li-kwan.

"To Faye Wong's fans and friends," the statement read, "The recent rumours that Faye Wong has decided to hold a concert this year are false. Faye Wong has no plans to hold any form of concert for the time being. Please protect your rights and interests to avoid being deceived."

Katie also stated that they reserve the right to pursue legal action, and if anyone makes random reports or causes others to be deceived due to the influence of false information, they will be pursued to the end.

Earlier, it was rumoured that Faye will be holding her concert at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai. The management of the said venue had since dismissed the rumours as well, reminding fans not to fall victim to false information.
