Fauziah Nawi: I really needed my own car!
2 Nov – Although she is elated to win the Tokoh Seri Angkasa award at the recently held Seri Angkasa Awards, Fauziah Nawi admitted that she is most delighted that the award came with a RM10,000 cash prize, and most importantly, a seven-seater Mitsubishi Xpander.
The veteran actress, who spoke to the media after the event, shared that she had been praying for a new car after the last one caught fire four years ago due to what she described as a "fuse problem".
"God is good to me. I didn't have a car and can't afford a loan because of my age, so praise be to Him, He answered my prayer," she said.
As to how she has been going to work for the past four years, Fauziah said that she had to depend on her manager, her children, and even her grandchildren to do so.
"Sometimes I even have to book an e-hailing. But I really wanted my own car to make it easy to move around," she added.
The actress won the award for her nearly half a century contribution to the arts industry at the Malam Kemuncak ASA 2022.
