Farid Kamil set to direct another action film

30 Aug – Director and actor Farid Kamil says that he will be back on the director's seat for his upcoming action film project.
However Farid said that he won't be able to answer when exactly the unnamed film would be ready as he is still in the early stages of script development.
"The idea to come up with a script had hit me a long time ago when I was 29-years-old. Only this year I had managed to gather all I needed to come up with a film script," said Farid when met at the media conference for his next film, "Tombiruo: Penunggu Rimba".
Added the "V3: Samseng Jalanan" director, he took a long time to conduct his research for the script in order to come up with a good product.
Apart from that, Farid also cited lack of time and funds as some of the other factors of the delay.

Talking about his participation in "Tombiruo: Penunggu Rimba" which is adapted from a popular novel by Ramlee Awang Mursid, Farid said he is excited to be attached in the big budget film.
In the film, Farid will play Amiruddin and he says that it is a big challenge and responsibility for him to take on the role as fans of the novel will already have their own ideas of the character.
"The challenge for me was on how to play Amiruddin as depicted in the novel as the readers of the book all have their own mental image of him," he said.
Apart from Farid, the Nasir Jani and Seth Larney film also stars Zul Ariffin, Nabila Huda, Faizal Hussein, Datuk M.Nasir, Dynas Mokhtar and more.
