Fans want TV's The Flash to replace Ezra Miller in upcoming movie

8 Apr - Sometimes celebrities make mistakes that fans will just let slide but unfortunately for "The Flash" star Ezra Miller, fans won't be so quick to forget his recent controversy.
Netizens are now rallying online to get Miller replaced by Grant Gustin in the upcoming silver screen solo vehicle for the speedy superhero, as reported by the Cosmic Book News.
Gustin is no stranger to the character since he has been starring as the eponymous superhero in CW's TV series "The Flash" for six seasons. The show was renewed for a seventh season earlier this year but production is currently on hold due to the global spread of COVID-19.
The 30-year-old has been mostly active on the small screen and was last seen starring on the big screen in 2017's "Krystal".
Both Miller and Gustin have appeared together as their respective The Flash characters in "Crisis On Infinite Earths", the sixth annual Arrowverse crossover event. The episode featuring the duo was aired last December.
The reason why fans now want Gustin as 'movie Flash' too, instead of Miller, is due to the latter's controversial viral video that surfaced recently.
In the video that was filmed in an Iceland bar, Miller could be seen getting in an altercation with a woman and the allegedly drunk actor reportedly choked her as he threw her to the ground.

John Francis Daley, who was formerly attached to direct Miller's The Flash movie, added fuel to the controversy when he referred to it with a short but savage tweet: "creative differences".
Previously, Daley was reported to have left the project due to "creative differences". His tweet seemingly implies that Miller is the problem here.
Latest update reveals that Warner Bros. is investigating the incident now and is reportedly thinking of cancelling the movie altogether.
It'll be a big blow for the 27-year-old actor if he does get replaced or if the movie gets cancelled.
Ever since debuting as Barry Allen a.k.a. The Flash in 2016's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" (albeit in a cameo role), and later reprising the role for a cameo in 2016's "Suicide Squad" and as one of the leads in 2017's "Justice League", he has been working on getting the "The Flash" movie off the ground for the past few years.
Getting fired from the movie might also affect his other big screen roles. At the moment, he is set to reprise his Credence Barebone character in the upcoming third instalment of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them".
