We're sending our best wishes to Elle King!

The "Ex's & Oh's" singer recently announced that she needed to pull out of recent radio concerts after revealing that she sustained some major injuries from an accident at home. She shared the devastating news and a sincere apology with fans on Twitter in a typed out message on her phone that explained her concerning health update.

Elle began by writing, "Hey guys, Just wanted to check in with a quick update and apologize to my fans in Tampa, Detroit, and Seattle. I share your disappointment that I had to cancel my radio shows this week. No one ever wants to pull out of shows, especially me."

In a series of unfortunate events, Elle recounted how she slipped down the stairs while home which "knocked [her] ass out" (her words, not ours!) and resulted in a concussion. Being the dedicated performer she is, the 33-year-old tried to push through her injury in an attempt to avoid disappointing fans.

Unfortunately, her concussion had other plans, and she explained in her Twitter post that between travelling and the lights on stage, "all of it only exacerbated things."

Elle went on to thank the musical artists who were able to step in for her missed shows and how understanding the radio stations were of her health scare.

Fans bombarded Elle's shocking news with supportive messages and advice like:

  • "Oh good God, you poor thing!!! We love you so much, we just want you better and back out wowing us when you recover!"

  • "Your health comes first! Take care. Merry Christmas!"

  • "Concussions are serious! Glad to know you are taking care of yourself! I pray for a speedy recovery for you! Take it easy xoxo"

Fellow singer Cole Swindell also took the time to wish Elle well by replying, "Glad you're ok! Rest up."

She finished her health update by expressing her excitement to get back to performing in the new year.

With her first full country album, Come Get Your Wife, being released on January 27 AND being host of CBS' New Year's Eve Live: Nashville's Big Bash, we can't wait to see what 2023 has in store for her!
