Fan Bingbing shares journey to make her comeback

6 Dec – Fan Bingbing recently spoke about the importance of standing on your own two feet as she spoke at a symposium in Singapore.

The actress, who appeared at the 34th Singapore International Film Festival where she is the recipient of this year's Cinema Icon Award, stated that she walked the journey alone since her tax evasion scandal in 2018, with the understanding that the only person who can save her is herself.

"Only your light shines on you. Only by moving forward can you get out of the fog. Otherwise, you will always be waiting for others, which is a very unrealistic thing," she said.

Fan admitted that the process was difficult, especially when she failed in multiple attempts to return. However, she also learned a lot of new things at the same time.

"Even if there will be regrets, pain, and vulnerability, I still have to continue to live a good life," she said.

Fan Bingbing finds herself getting banned after she was found guilty of evading her taxes in 2018, causing her to lose a multitude of projects and brand deals. She also ended her engagement with actor Li Chen a few months after the controversy.
