This famous US fried chicken franchise opening in Singapore, confirmed to be a hoax

While we’ve seen our fair shares of F&B brands from the US, such as In-N-Out and Chick-fil-A, make their way to Singapore, netizens were buzzing with anticipation upon hearing that the famous American fried chicken chain Raising Cane’s was set to open its first-ever outlet in Singapore.

However, we were all disappointed to learn that Raising Cane’s has clarified the matter, stating that they will not open a franchise in Singapore as rumoured online.

For those unfamiliar with Raising Cane’s, it is an American fast-food chain specializing in chicken fingers. Founded in 1996 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, it has gained popularity across the US. It has even expanded to countries such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

They are known for their menu featuring items like The Box Combo—a crowd favourite in the US—which includes four pieces of chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Cane’s sauce, Texas toast (another fan favourite), coleslaw, and a drink of your choice.

Another menu item that has everyone drooling is the signature Cane’s Sauce, which is perfect for dipping and known to have patrons hooked from the first bite.

“Unfortunately, we do not have plans for Singapore at this time, but we will try to get there as fast as we can!” they shared in their statement with SethLui.
