Fahrenheit's Ary is XPDC's new vocalist

7 Jun – Fahrenheit's Ary (Zuhairi Harun) is now the new vocalist of XPDC, following the passing of singer Syed Ismail Syed Ibrahim (aka Mael) last April.

The news was shared by the band's manager on 5 June via his Facebook account, writing, "Through the agreement of all band members... Arry has been crowned the new singer of our XPDC group Peng Yu beginning 4 June 2023 while performing in Baling Kedah last night."

"Thank you very much Zan for assisting in the previous two XPDC performances in Sg Petani and MAEP Serdang," he added.

Speaking to Harian Metro, Yazid stated that Ary was chosen as he has all the characteristics that they were looking for.

"He is a humble guy, just like the rest of the XPDC members. And he has known them for a while too, so there is no issue when it comes to understanding and socialising with each other," he said.

Mael passed away on 27 April in Muar, Johor following shortness of breath.
