Fahmi Fadzil: Let Singapore authorities investigate Kamal Adli's case

22 Mar – Minister of Communications and Digital Fahmi Fadzil recently stated that the ministry is giving the Singaporean authority the space to investigate the case concerning the assault of actor Kamal Adli.

Fahmi stated that they have decided to do so since the investigation by the Singapore police is still ongoing.

"I spoke to Uqasha Senrose and expressed concern and sympathy with what happened. They were there [in Singapore] to do business, but the unexpected happened. I have already spoken to several parties to ensure that the security aspects for Uqasha and Kamal are examined," he said, referring to the actress wife of the "Setelah Terlafaznya Akad" actor.

"I have advised Uqasha to make a police report if there is anything to be concerned with," he added.

Fahmi also stressed that he doesn't want such an incident to happen to anyone again, adding, "There may be some aspects that we don't know fully yet. So, I'm waiting for some reports."

It was back on 12 March that Kamal was attacked by a man with a baton while meeting fans at the Hari Raya Mega Sale 2023 event which took place in Hall 5A, Singapore Expo. He was immediately rushed to the hospital to undergo surgery.
