Ezzanie Jasny pleasantly surprised by ABPBH nomination
26 Sep - Ezzanie Jasny couldn't help but feel pleasantly surprised over being nominated in the upcoming 36th Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian (ABPBH).
The actress, who found herself being listed in the Top 10 Most Popular New Artiste nominees among other names like Erysha Emyra, Aufahanie, Dalia Farhana and Cupcake Aisyah, stated that she was unsure how to react the first time she heard that her name was enlisted.
"I am hoping for the best. If I win, praise be to God. But if not, that's fine too. I am just surprised that I made it to the Top 10. I never expected it," she said.
Ezzanie said that she only followed ABPBH as a fan all this while, and has never thought that one day she will be nominated as well.
The actress said that her aim is to only develop herself more in the business, which is why she has been taking a variety of roles throughout her short career, including in her new drama, "Uncle Bos Mama", currently airing on Astro Ria.
"I accepted the offer to star in Uncle Bos Mama because the character Mama Fish is different than all the roles I have portrayed in the past," she said. "I don't want to always play the scorned woman or the victim. I want to show something new every time so not to be seen as a cliche."
