In a move which could be a first for Hollywood, Ultimate Fighting Championship star-turned-actress Ronda Rousey is being lined up to star in her own biopic.

28-year-old Rousey has signed up her best-selling autobiography ‘My Fight/Your Fight’, penned with her sister Maria Burns Ortiz, to Paramount Pictures.

It has Mark Bomback, who penned the screenplays for 'The Wolverine’, the remake of 'Total Recall’ and 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’, in line to adapt it.

Said producer Mary Parent: “It’s a real honour to be a part of bringing Ronda’s incredible story to the big screen.”

She endured a tough childhood, over coming severe problems with her speech up to the age of six, due to being starved of oxygen at birth, and later the suicide of her father.

However, thanks to inspiration from her mother, Judo champion AnnMaria De Mars, she rose through the ranks of martial arts.

Now Rousey, who holds an Olympic medal in Judo, is undefeated in the world of UFC, and has ended 11 of her 12 professional fights in the first round.

She defended her title of UFC bantam weight champion last weekend, knocking out Bethe Correia after 34 seconds of the first round of their fight in Rio de Janeiro.

Outside of fighting, she’s starting to forge a career on screen, making an appearance as herself in HBO series 'Entourage’, as well as scoring roles in 'Furious 7’ and 'The Expendables 3’.

She’s also set to start shooting action movie 'Mile 22’, alongside Mark Wahlberg, her biggest role yet, in January.

According to insiders, Rousey immediately expressed interest in playing herself in the film.
