EXO's D.O. to star in Korean remake of "Secret"

16 Feb – EXO member D.O. is set to play the lead in the South Korean remake of the Taiwanese film, "Secret".

D.O. is one of the vocalists of South Korean-Chinese boy band, EXO. The nine-member band was formed in 2011 by SM Entertainment, South Korea's largest entertainment company, and debuted in 2012.

As reported on Mingpao, the singer, real name Doh Kyung-soo, will be playing the role previously helmed by Jay Chou - a piano prodigy who is enraptured by a mystery girl playing a haunting melody in a practice room.

The original film, which was released in Taiwan in 2007, was also written and directed by Jay himself. It premièred in South Korea in early 2008 and was re-released in the country again in 2015.

The Korean version of "Secret" will be directed by Seo Yoo-min ("April Snow"), and will begin production in the second half of the year.

It will be D.O.'s second film project since he was discharged from military service last year.
