Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette has finally wrapped up, which means it's 100 percent time to reacquaint yourself with 28-year-old Greg Grippo, one of Katie's finalists from her season!

Greg made quite an impression on Katie at the beginning of the show (that went seriously south later on) but exactly what the heck is this man even about anyway? On top of a truly iconic ABC bio, there is plenty of information on Greg to whet your appetite while waiting for him to dive into the world of Bachelor Nation #sponcon posts. Behold: your guide to Greg, down to the anonymous thirst messages he used to receive during his time in college. You’re welcome!

Greg is from New Jersey

Specifically the township of Edison, which was named Parenting.com’s number one safest city in America in 2014, LOL.

He studied business in undergrad

Greg graduated from Saint Michael’s College in 2018 with a degree in business administration and management, which is v impressive! Don’t go looking on his LinkedIn for intel on places he’s worked at though—his page is pretty inactive and he doesn’t have any jobs listed yet. *sigh*

Greg was quite popular with the ladies in college

At least...popular enough for people to post more than once about how hot he was to an anonymous Facebook page run by Saint Michael’s College students—kudos to the people who actually had the guts to thirst after Greg online!

He was cut from Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette

Back in July, Reality Steve revealed that Greg was one of 15 dudes who got cut from Clare’s final lineup of guys. It’s unclear why Greg (and the 14 other dudes who were originally cast on Clare’s season) weren’t asked back, but hey, at least he’s getting a shot at love with Katie!

He was/is trying to pursue a career in acting

Sorry if I’m disappointing any die-hard Greg fans, but our homeboy reportedly attended acting school for TWO WHOLE YEARS (!!!) prior to securing a spot on Katie’s season of The Bachelorette, which is not a good look. Last month, someone sent an anonymous tip to gossip account Deux Moi that stated Greg “cleaned up his social media/LinkedIn and removed all evidence of his aspiring acting career the past few years.” The source alleged that Greg went to William Esper Acting School between 2017 and 2019, while there isn’t any evidence of him attending on his LinkedIn account.

A source also hit up The Sun with some serious intel about Greg and his acting aspirations and pretty much said Greg is totally in the competition for the wrong reasons. According to the source, “Greg is an actor” and that has “always been his passion.” Even though Greg has been rather convincing on the show, the source claims that “he is absolutely lying about his career and intentions on the show. He’s always wanted to pursue an on-camera career.” Uh...yikes!

“He had a big ego, but most kids at that school did. He did speak a lot about fame though, and it seemed like he needed a lot of recognition to feel good about himself. For some reason, he’s trying to come off like he’s in marketing, which is just not true. Or if it is, it is just an extremely recent development and not at all how he’s portraying it,” the source continued.

The Sun’s source also backed up Deux Moi’s report and said Greg “deleted so much off his social media account and LinkedIn of any signs of acting and has told friends not to mention it if anyone asks about it. And he’s untagged himself from all of his classmates’ photos.…His profiles don’t even mention going to William Esper, which is a really high honor in the acting world.”

Take this all for what you will, but the source concluded by saying they “don’t think he [Greg] has the purest intentions going on the show…it just doesn’t add up.” 😓

His ABC bio is doing the most

According to whoever was tasked with waxing poetic about this dude for ABC...

“Greg is the full package. He’s handsome, kind, vulnerable, and serious about wanting to settle down. Greg considers himself a hopeless romantic, and a perfect first date would be something active like riding bikes, dancing, or going to a concert. Greg wants to travel the world with his wife before having kids, of which he says he wants to have at least six! Greg is also extremely close with his family and says his parents set his definition of #RomanceGoals. Thanks to their love, the standards for what a successful marriage looks like are sky high. Greg wants to find someone he can grow old with and treat like a queen, so the Bachelorette may just be swept off her feet!”

Some other fun facts from ABC?

  • “Greg is not afraid to admit that he cries during movies.”

  • “Greg’s biggest pet peeve is slow drivers.”

  • “Greg dreams of seeing LeBron James play basketball in person.”

WARNING: There are massive spoilers ahead about the next season of The Bachelor. Now’s the time to flee if you don’t want to have the plot ruined! 🚨

He might be the next Bachelor

Key word...might! Reality Steve had some intel and posted this to his Twitter: “What I’ve been hearing the past 5 days or so regarding the next Bachelor are this…been told it’s going to be Greg. Obviously it’s never “official” until ABC announces it (whenever that may be), but at this point I would be very surprised if it’s not him,” he wrote.

And that’s all our Greg intel for now—stay tuned to see how he makes his Bachelorette exit!
