Euphoria's Chloe Cherry opened up to Em Rata about feeling safe in the porn industry

Back in January of last year, the second season of the Emmy-winning series Euphoria dropped. As well as re-introducing some of our fave characters, i.e Zendaya as Rue, Sydney Sweeney as Cassie, Barbie Ferreira as Cat, and Alexa Demie as Maddy, the show also catapulted actor Chloe Cherry to fame, playing Faye, the girlfriend of Custer (Tyler Chase), a drug supplier who works with Fez (Angus Cloud).

Prior to this, the 25-year-old was best known for acting in adult films, having over 200 credits to her name. FYI, Cherry has always been super open about her work in the porn industry and has recently chatted to Emily Ratajkowski about her experiences. Specifically that she felt safer working in porn than she did as a waitress.

Speaking on Em Rata's podcast, High Low, she opened up about an experience in the hospitality industry that she labelled as "f**king traumatising."

Sharing the sexual harassment she endured, plus working under a "creepy" boss, she said: "He was like an actual sexual predator. Like, nobody in porn is a registered sex offender."

"In porn, it was like, this is what we’re going to do today," she continued. "There wasn’t like, then this random guy comes up to you and tries to touch you."

"I felt so much more respected in porn than in a restaurant," she added.

The Euphoria breakout star then went on to note that she was grateful that she 'made it' in the porn industry.

"I was confident enough to do that instead of wasting my life being hit on by some creepy 40-year-old, [male boss]" she concluded.

Euphoria is now streaming on NOW.
