Ethel Booba doesn't mind getting fewer followers on Twitter
22 Apr – Ethel Booba recently stated that she is not at all perturbed by the fact that her own Twitter account did not achieve as many followers as the previous fake account that uses her real name, Ethyl Gabison.
As reported on Inquirer, the actress who started a new account using the handle "ethelbooba6", shared as much when a netizen stated that the "Fake Ethel Booba" account amassed a million followers after it reactivated earlier.
It is noted that the said account had since been deactivated again.
To that, the comedienne responded, "At least now [he or she] can say all that [he or she] wants without involving my name, and criticise whatever [he or she] wants."
When the same netizen argued that Ethel's raising popularity was actually due to the Twitter account and that she should be thankful to the admin, the comedienne said that she is happier being herself.
"I know myself. Although it was a little late, at least I am being true to myself," she added.
Earlier this month, Ethel took to Instagram to renounce the account @IamEthylGabison and called it a fake, surprising many as she previously acknowledged its existence. She later explained that she wanted to distance herself from the said account as it was getting more and more political of late.
