ERROR's Dee Ho denies his Thai restaurant is closing

15 Aug - ERROR's Dee has recently dismissed the notion that his joint-venture restaurant, Thai Kau is closing its doors after a year in business.

As reported on Mingpao, rumours of the Thai restaurant going under sparked after it was reported that a broker has posted rental ads online looking for a new client for an existing Thai restaurant unit.

Though the name of the restaurant was not mentioned and the signboard was obscured, the interior decorations in the photos shared by the broker were similar to the said restaurant.

When asked about it recently, Dee, who was in North Point to attend the preview of a new drama, said that the restaurant is still operating and is currently negotiating to renew the lease.

As to whether the restaurant has been making money or suffering losses, Dee responded, "We didn't open a business to make money, otherwise the food wouldn't be sold at this price. Our philosophy is to make it accessible to the masses."

It is noted that Thai Kau was launched in April last year as part of Dee's business venture with MIRROR members Lokman Yeung and Alton Wong.
