Erin Napier Shared a Video From Her and Ben's Wedding Day, and It's So Heartwarming
Over the weekend, Home Town's Erin and Ben Napier celebrated 12 years of marriage—but not without making us tear up a little bit (ugh, you guys!). Ben kicked off the celebrations by penning a sweet note to Erin on Instagram.
"12 years ago. We said I do. We’ve said it everyday since, and will say it everyday going forward, he wrote. "Being @erinapier’s husband is the only thing I’m really great at. I have to work at everything else," he continued.
Erin also took to Instagram to commemorate their wedding day, which she officially time stamped as taking place on November 22, 2008. Instead of photos, she shared a montage of clips on IGTV (watch it here!) from their wedding video, and it's absolutely iconic.
To the tunes of "Lloyd, I'm Ready to be Heartbroken" by Camera Obscura and "By Your Side" by Blue Mountain, the almost four-and-a-half minute video spotlights all of Ben and Erin's major moments from their big day.
From taking family portraits before the ceremony, to their walk down the aisle, and the reception following, this video is like a condensed romantic comedy— seriously. There are the heartwarming moments, like their first dance together, as well as some more humorous moments, like Ben's finger gun motions in the beginning. Basically, it's hard to not watch this without cracking a smile.
Although the couple got hitched in 2008, their big day will transport you back a few decades with Erin’s curly bob, as well as the vintage cherry red corvette they drive off in after the reception. Totally groovy!
However, as Erin noted in her caption, this was also a big day for their friends Mallorie and Jim Rasberry. The couple, who you may also recognize from Home Town, got engaged during the ceremony.
We’re glad to see that Erin and Ben are still happily in love. Also, that they never stopped doing the sweet things that made them fall for each other in the first place. Yup, that's right: Ben still writes Erin a love note every single morning!
